The festival was a huge success with over 500 in attendance. Darlene’s plan to bring groups of friends together from various times and places to celebrate music created many special memories not soon to be forgotten. So many people were touched by her presence on this Earth.

During the week since the festival, Darlene's health declined quickly. Each day brought about more of a need for her body to rest. The pain was well managed, and she rested peacefully until the early morning of July 2nd when she suddenly passed on. Loree, Gabe and Steve were all by her side. Tony, Peter, Jen and Barry joined in a bedside farewell.
